Students will have weekly mini-projects in Geometry. If time allows, they will be able to work on this during their Math Lab class however majority of the work will be done at home. These mini-projects reinforce the concepts that are being taught in Math class. It is beneficial for the students to complete them for better understanding. The first mini-project was assigned to groups 3 and 6 during the week of August 21st and due back on August 28th, with an extension until September 5th. The next mini-project will be assigned September 11th for all Math groups and will be due on September 18th.
Mini-projects will continue to be assigned throughout the school year based on the Math topic taught. They will be assigned on a Monday and due back, a week later, on the following Monday.
Students are also working on a supplemental Math program online, called ST Math. Students are expected to spend 90 minutes per week in this math program, which reinforces and reviews concepts taught in class to be sure learning is transferring to other contexts.
